Chief Sales Officer - National

The Role:

Our sales team is growing rapidly and you will be focused on scaling the team, strategy, processes, and tools to grow our Network across the country. You will report to our Chief Executive Officer and serve as a key member of the executive team. You will develop and refine the overall sales strategy and build the team necessary to achieve our mission to transform traditional classrooms to modern learning environments, at scale. Modern Teacher has an incredible Network of districts and you will be an integral part of building the Network and personalizing learning for millions of students. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop/refine overall sales strategy and processes to achieve the company’s ARRgrowth and revenue goals
  • Build/Recruit, hire, mentor, and lead a high performing sales team
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting
  • Daily coaching of sales team on processes and tactics to close
  • Develop and implement professional development initiatives to ensure team is continuously growing and refining skills
  • Support sales team members in each region to build key relationships with district leadership and close strategic opportunities
  • Create a culture of success, fun, and achievement while meeting company strategic goals
  • Manage the use of budgets including sales team compensation and incentive program
  • Collaborate with other departments to analyze and develop ways to supportARR/Revenue growth and customer satisfaction

Required Skills: 

  • 10+ years experience in consultative Enterprise SaaS
  • K12 and/or EdTech experience a plus
  • Proven track record of exceeding quotas
  • Proven ability to grow a sales team and ARR in early growth stage company
  • Experience motivating, leading, and developing sales team
  • Versed in SaaS business metrics
  • Experience using CRM (Salesforce) to manage sales team pipeline and closing data
  • Systems thinker with strong work ethic who thrives in a meritocracy
  • Comfortable working in a faced-paced national organization
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills with district leadership
  • Undergraduate degree required

Note: Position requires travel often with overnight stays.

Strategy Officer - Multiple Regions

The Role:

To support our rapid growth, we’re looking for a Strategy Officer to support districts work and progress through our framework.  Modern Teacher has secured marque partnerships across the nation which has created substantial demand from districts to join our network and progress through the work of Digital Convergence.  We need you to join us to support the growth of our work and mission!

Success in this role will depend on your ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment efficiently and accurately, and find creative solutions to the challenges of supporting a rapidly developing business. This position is based remotely and will report to our Chief Learning Officer. This position is part of a larger collaborative team and will have access to and mentorship from leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all account management activities for accounts assigned to you including fulfilling onsite support, concierge (virtual) services, and ensuring overall client satisfaction
  • High-levels of utilization of Modern Teacher’s Digital Convergence Framework and the Modernteacher.com product based on Client Engagement Score measurement of adoption/utilization.
  • The retention of the customer over the initial contract terms of our engagement and then the renewal of the contract including working with the sales department for add on products/services, as needed.
  • Input into the design and consistency of the fulfillment process including content that comprises the methodology for Digital Convergence and teacher professional development
  • Managing your schedule with client needs and ensuring efficient fulfillment as it relates to cost and effective client services
  • Track Client Services via Salesforce
  • Your role represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers.  Additionally, the position requires extensive travel, regionally as well as nationally.

The Role:

To support our rapid growth, we’re looking for a Vice President of Network Membership to grow our district partnerships.

Success in this role will depend on your ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment efficiently and accurately, and find creative solutions to the challenges of supporting a rapidly developing business. This position is based remotely and will reports to our Chief Sales Officer.  This position is part of a larger collaborative team and will have access to and mentorship from leadership.

Required Skills:

  • Direct K12 district administrative and leadership experience
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to district leadership
  • Consultative sales acumen (direct sales experience a plus)
  • National perspective on K12 industry
  • Sales urgency to grow region & Modern Teacher Network
  • Business leader with ownership over region
  • Systems thinker – Modern Teacher organization and individual planning
  • Undergraduate degree required
