HPS started their journey to Modern Learning with their “Why” in mind.
Setting the Vision…What will a Modern Learning Environment look like in Hickory? Taking time to reflect and discuss what the district needs to do to make their Vision of Modern Learning happen. Defining how learners will learn in HPS… Creating an Instructional Model.
We’re thrilled to announce the latest network member district to reach Stage 4: Lancaster City Schools in Ohio!
The LCS team has done an absolutely remarkable job of putting their instructional model front and center with the support of a stellar team of coaches and highly engaged school leaders. As a result, learner-centered environments are becoming evident, particularly in the rooms of their Accelerated Classroom cohort members like Mr. Gramlich. As part of our day, we dropped by his room to see his 8th grade students owning their learning while they worked through an advanced learning plan as part of a U.S. History unit. Note the shared vision his students painted on the wall!
A cohort of teachers and instructional coaches will be leading the charge to make Pickerington Local School District’s Plan 4 Progress come to life across its 800 classrooms. PLSD is making big moves in the new school year with a focus on the classroom after reaching Stage 3 in the Digital Convergence Framework last spring.
